Week 5 Update
Flower Pot Basket
This week most of my time was spent on my brick and plaster texture. However, before I started work it I created some low poly flower baskets, they fit perfectly in scale with the balconies and in the engine it is very easy to swap in and out different designs where ever I want.

Along with the flower basket I had time to do some simple boat pole designers, these are a staple symbol of Venice and getting them to look right is key. I created a couple of variants to break up the scene, we have a standard stripe boat pole and two different variations of old wooden poles.
Brick And Plaster Material
So this week, as explained beforehand I spent most of my time on this texture, this texture will be plastered everywhere in the scene so it needs to be at a high quality. I started this texture last week and in the images below interaction one was where I was last week going into this week. Interaction 2 is a mid-week screenshot, the main thing that people kept telling me was how the brick didn't look right, just something about them didn't make them fit in. So, moving onto interaction 3, this took part over the weekend in which I took all the feedback into account from over the week and knuckled down and implemented and changed accordingly. Now in the final texture, I have scalable parameters which affect the amount of plaster, underlay plaster color and also a parameter that allows me to tell the texture of how damaged the bricks should be.
