Week 1 Update
This week I have been working on the level block out, using my reference images. I was able to create a blockout that has just the right amount of detail for me to work from. From the beginning, I had an idea in what I wanted to create, so from the get-go, I kept looking at my reference images and followed on with the blockout. However, halfway through the block out, I came to the realization that what I was creating was way too large of a project for me to handle. After I had realized this, I started to cut back what I had done and planned on making a smaller scene, so instead of having low-quality large scene I could concentrate the detail and make it and the small scene more detailed. Meanwhile, I had not scraped my reference, as I was now creating my own Venice canal I used my reference in a way of inspiration instead of direct copying the layout.
